Nicelle Davis & Devi S. Laskar
Nicelle Davis is a California poet, collaborator, and performance artist. Her poetry collections include The Walled Wife, In the Circus of You, Becoming Judas, and Circe. Her poetry film collaborations with Cheryl Gross have been shown across the world. She has taught poetry at Youth for Positive Change, MHA, Volunteers of America in their Homeless Youth Center, and with Red Hen’s WITS program. She is the creator of The Poetry Circus and collaborator on the Nevermore Poetry Festival. Her poem “After Coffee with My Nurse Friend” appears in Rattle #61. (web)
Devi S. Laskar is a native of Chapel Hill, NC. A former newspaper reporter, she is now a poet, photographer, and artist. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Crab Orchard Review, Tin House, and New Guard. She is an alumna of both TheOpEdProject and VONA. Finishing Line Press published two poetry chapbooks, Gas & Food, No Lodging and Anastasia Maps in 2017. Counterpoint Press will publish her debut novel, The Atlas of Reds and Blues, in February 2019. She now lives in California. Her poem, “Though the Stars Walk Backward” appears in Rattle’s Poets Respond. (web)
